Monthly V.S Weekly

Today it has appeared that the final week of February will see the release of the Imperial Knights, Imperial fist supplement and Legion of the Dammed supplement. This disproves the earlier predictions that the Imperial knights would get the whole month of March, which i always thought was a bit weird after all why would a single new unit option get a whole months of all to itself release wise.

The Knight in question, essentially a mini titan

The NZTC Approaches

The list have been released, and there is less than two weeks to go before the NZTC, New Zealand's premier warhammer team event. With the release of the list i thought it a good time to chat about my first time at the NZTC. First of all lets talk about the lists, they are tough as nails, armed to the teeth and ooze danger.

Guess who bought the Wood Elves

The Dice Decide

Warhammer is, first and foremost, a dice game. This was emphasised this afternoon when playing a game of warhammer with Jayden Howel (author of the Imperial Patrol and a good friend). It was his first 2400 point game of warhammer, i was using the Three Treeman Wood Elf List and he was using a Gun Line Empire List. If you had asked either of us who would have won, both of us would have said me. I had the honed list, more experience with my list and more experience overall. However victory was not mine.

Review: Warhammer Visions

Last Night I had the chance to read through GW’s new magazine “Warhammer Visions”, and I wasn’t impressed. It’s not that warhammer visions is poorly presented, or badly edited, its that its selling you things you would get for free.

For Ulric! For The Empire!

A while back i mentioned that i was collecting a Empire army as secondary army, i also mentioned that i was getting it Commission painted to avoid losing painting score at tournaments. Well the first wave is almost complete, below are a few pictures.

How Not To Release a Army

February is finally here. All those rumours that Dwarfs would be arriving in February turned out to be absolutely true. However there is one slight issue, Dwarf players may have to wait until the 3rd week of Feb before they get the actual book, the one with all those (hopefully) nice, shinny up-to-date rules that dwarf players have been waiting years for.

I dont know why GW thought that this would be a good idea, perhaps they thought it would build hype and boost sales for the Dwarfs, but considering that Dwarf players have been waiting eight years and one month for this book i am not sure how much hype three weeks could generate that eight years and one month hasn't.

After reading Vaults of Winter i decided to waste no time in getting started on the next book in the series Tears of Isha.
